The Diablo 4 open beta is in full swing, and if you’re playing, you may be wondering what the max level is. Naturally, you’re looking to progress further by exploring the world, uncovering secrets, and slaying every demonic denizen you see. Still, you might be wondering if there’s an end to the grind.
Diablo 4 Max Level and Level Cap Explained
The max level in Diablo 4, at least for the full game, is Level 100. That will likely be a time-consuming grind, which involves maxing out various class abilities, interacting with unique mechanics, applying synergies, discovering legendaries and unique items, and working toward in-depth builds. There are also Paragon levels unlocked at Level 50, though we’ve yet to see them in action.
Generally speaking, you’ll want to maximize your experience point (XP) earnings by increasing the World Tier difficulty. Likewise, being in a party adds a +10% XP boost to help with leveling.
However, for the current open beta, which runs until March 27, 2023, at 3 p.m. EST, the max level cap will only be up to Level 25. This is likely because only a select portion of the game is available (i.e., a part of the Fractured Peaks in Act 1). As such, any XP you earn once you hit Level 25 won’t be tallied anymore.
It also bears mentioning that there’s no related achievement if you hit the max level during the beta, but there’s one particular tidbit that provides rewards. According to Blizzard, those playing the open beta can attempt to reach Level 20 at least. In turn, this milestone will be saved on your account.
By the time the game launches on June 6, 2023, you should be able to claim some neat rewards, including the “Early Voyager” title and the Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item. As such, we can technically consider this as an ideal progression point to reach.
But that’s the answer to what’s the max level in Diablo 4. Go ahead and delve deeper into those dungeons to slay more demons, especially if you want to receive these rewards once the game is officially out. For more, check out our guides hub.
