Taika Waititi has provided an update on the status of his Star Wars movie – but unfortunately it’s not a promising one. Waititi has lent his talents to the Star Wars galaxy before, as both a director and an actor in The Mandalorian. He voices IG-11, Din Djarin’s reluctant bounty-hunter-turned-nurse-droid ally, and he directed The Mandalorian season 1 finale. Most recently, Waititi not only lent his voice once again as IG-12 in The Mandalorian season 3, but he’s also been in talks to be writing and directing his very own Star Wars movie.
