Star Wars’ Grand Inquisitor had a very dark past as a corrupted Jedi, connecting to both Revenge of the Sith’s Order 66 and just before during the Clone Wars as well. Like the majority of the Empire’s Inquisitors, the Grand Inquisitor was once a disenfranchised member of the Jedi Order seduced into serving the Sith following the Jedi Purge. To that end, the established canon has confirmed that Ahsoka Tano played a role in the Grand Inquisitor’s turn to the dark side.
