At Nacon Connect 2023 there was a lot of new gameplay and a lot of info on upcoming games. We give you the overview.
16 games were on show at the big Nacon show on 9 March 2023. Among them were several titles we”ve been eagerly awaiting for a long time, such as the Gollum game from Daedalic or the new Robocop shooter.
If you missed the livestream or are simply looking for all the important announcements at a glance, you”ve come to the right place.
The most important information & trailer of the show
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
(Genre: Adventure – Developer: Daedalic – Release: 2023)
Daedalic dares to take on a major project and wants to make Gollum of all people, the star of the new Lord of the Rings adventure game. The game apparently suffers from a rather turbulent development and has already been postponed, it is now to be released sometime in 2023. We ourselves were quite sceptical after a gameplay preview whether this can become something.
A new trailer was shown at Nacon Connect, including some gameplay and cinematic scenes, which technically … well, not necessarily state of the art. Instead, the video raises questions about the story: Who is the elf(?) woman who accompanies Gollum?
Robocop: Rogue City
(Genre: First-person shooter – Developer: Teyon – Release: September 2023)
GlobalESportNews editor Dani is really looking forward to the new shooter Robocop: Rogue City. At the Nacon show there was new gameplay: We are on the road as a cyborg policeman in Detroit and want to keep order in the dangerous city. But a lot of criminals have other plans!
Gangs of Sherwood
(Genre: Action-Adventure – Developer: Appeal Studios – Release: Fall 2023)
Finally we have the first gameplay for the medieval action game Gangs of Sherwood! In it, we replay the newly interpreted saga of Robin Hood, either alone or in co-op with up to four players. A real Sherwood gang.
As you can see in the video, all four playable heroes have their very own skills that can be combined with each other:
(Genre: Action – Developer: Passtech Games – Release: 6 April 2023 (Early Access) / 2024)
New 4-player co-op from Nacon: Ravenswatch is a top-down roguelite that aims to offer plenty of replay value and lots of fun combat. We take on the role of famous fairy tale characters and fight against the hordes of evil.
At the Nacon Connect there was new gameplay to see and also two release dates: The Early Access starts on Steam on 6 April, sometime in 2024 the game should then be ready.
(Genre: Build-up Strategy – Developer: Brave Lamb – Release: 31 August 2023)
A hospital manager of the gritty variety: In War Hospital we manage a military hospital during the First World War. Medicine and manpower are limited, which forces us to make difficult decisions again and again. Sounds like tough stuff, here”s the first gameplay trailer:
(Genre: Horror – Developer: Hekate – Release: September 2023)
The second game from Nacon Connect that aims to make the horrors of the First World War palpable. This time as a first-person horror in which we fight against the demons in our head as a traumatised soldier.
