Despite the original plan to shoot two sequels back-to-back, Netflix exec Scott Stuber has an uncertain update for Red Notice‘s trilogy plans. The first movie centered on an FBI agent teaming up with a renowned art thief to bring down an even more infamous thief before she can get her hands on Cleopatra’s fabled bejeweled eggs. Led by Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, Red Notice was largely dismissed by critics, but was a strong performer for Netflix’s viewers, leading to an order of two sequels to be shot back-to-back, which have slowly made progress in the years since.
