After months of speculation regarding what Sony’s next companion tech for the PlayStation 5 would be, and the rumors that the secret Project Q was going to be a PlayStation Vita 2, many were disappointed at the recent announcement of a new handheld streaming device that is most definitely not a Vita successor. Despite being a handheld option for playing PlayStation games, this new gadget is simply a method of streaming video games from the PS5 to a handheld medium rather than a dedicated mobile console system. The Vita, and the PlayStation Portable that came before it, were their own unique devices with their own games and designed specifically to be taken on the go.
