The Exorcist: Believer director David Gordon Green has discussed the way the movie sets out to preserve the tone of the original classic. The movie, which is set to premiere in theaters on October 13, is the sixth entry in the movie franchise that kicked off with 1973’s The Exorcist, based on the William Peter Blatty novel of the same name. It will follow two young girls who exhibit signs of possession after going missing for several days, leading one of their fathers (Leslie Odom Jr.) to approach original character Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), asking for help.
