The plot revolves around Princess Ellian as she decides to break the spell that has split her kingdom into two opposing factions. Netflix‘s Spellbound’s release date could arrive sometime in mid to late 2024.
In 2017, Skydance Media entered into a multi-year contract with Ilion Animation Studios and set up Skydance Animation. Spellbound subsequently went into development at Skydance Animation under the title Split. Paramount Pictures initially had the distribution rights to the film, but Apple TV Plus later secured them after signing a larger deal with Skydance. Eventually, Spellbound ended up at Netflix.
The streaming giant will unveil material from the film at the Annecy Film Festival’s Next on Netflix Animation: From Twilight of the Gods to Wallace & Gromit event on June 12, 2024. The film is slated to debut in 2024. However, given that it’s already April, we can speculate that Netflix’s Spellbound will premiere sometime in mid to late 2024.
This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.
The voice cast of Netflix’s Spellbound includes Rachel Zegler as Princess Ellian, Nicole Kidman as Queen Ellsmere, and Javier Bardem as King Solon. The voice cast also features John Lithgow as Minister Bolinar, Jenifer Lewis as Minister Nazara Prone, and Nathan Lane as The Oracle of the Sun.

Spellbound is anticipated to come out on Netflix sometime in mid to late 2024.
