God Of War Ragnarok On PC Requires A PSN Account

Sony has confirmed on the PlayStation Blog that the newly-announced PC version of God of War Ragnarok will require a PlayStation Network account to play, despite it being a single-player title.

God of War Ragnarok was announced during the State of Play broadcast yesterday evening, and a blog post detailing the port confirms, “Account for PlayStation Network is require.” In addition, the Steam page for the game contains the following message: “PlayStation Network Account required, subject to the PlayStation Terms of Services and User Agreement.”

The PC version of God of War Ragnarok features a number of enhanced performance options including unlocked frame rates and integration with NVIDIA RTX Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), and Intel XeSS (Xe Super Sampling), which affords higher graphical settings and output resolutions.

God of War Ragnarok is scheduled for release on PC on September 19, 2024.
