Gilmore Girls‘ Rory is generally likable but way too entitled at times. Rory is intelligent and ambitious. She spends most of her youth focused on her studies and working toward her goal of a career in journalism. However, her poor impulse control and her successes at a young age cultivate a sense of entitlement that causes her to make crucial mistakes in her career and relationships as she gets older. Despite her intelligence, Rory struggles throughout Gilmore Girls and Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life to overcome the poor instincts her privileged upbringing instilled.
