Uncle Samsik is a highly awaited period K-drama series. It is all set to premiere worldwide on May 15, 2024, exclusively on Disney Plus. Actors Seo Hyun Woo and Yoo Jae Myung will play significant characters in the upcoming series. Disney Plus has recently revealed the details of the two actors’ characters.
Yoo Jae Myung will portray the supporting role of Jung Doo Sik. Meanwhile, actor Seo Hyun Woo will play one of the leading roles in the K-drama Jung Han Min. Let’s find out more details about these two characters in Uncle Samsik below.
Disney Plus’ Uncle Samsik reveals Yoo Jae Myung, Seo Hyun Woo’s character details
As mentioned earlier, Disney+’s new Korean drama Uncle Samsik will see Yoo Jae-Myung and Seo Hyun Woo portray two pivotal roles in the series. Yoo Jae Myung’s character Jung Doo Sik has a strong personality and fierce presence. He has a close bond with Park Doo-Chil, aka Uncle Samsik. The character is complex despite having an extremely polite appearance.
As per Sports Soul, the director and writer of the series, Shin Yeon Sik, talked about the character and Yoo Jae Myung in an interview. He says, “He is a really difficult character….I couldn’t think of any other actor than Yoo Jae Myung, and he gave such a great performance.”
Meanwhile, Seo Hyun Woo’s character, Jung Han Min, is an elite military persona. He has been a classmate of Kim San (Byun Yo Han) and later a close friend while he was in the military. Both of them have studied in the U.S. The character Jung Han Min is quite brave and has a charming aura. In the upcoming series, the character will portray great energy.
The director of Uncle Samsik, Shin Yeon Sik, has also talked about the character Jung Han Min and actor Seo Hyun Woo in the interview. As reported by Sports Soul, the director says, “This is an actor I really wanted to work with….I thought he would be a good fit for the character of Jung Han Min because he is an actor with a sophisticated and hot side.”
Uncle Samsik will debut on Disney Plus on May 15, 2024.
