Trying to adapt six long novels into three seasons of television is most certainly a challenge, and as a result, it’s easy for a television series to miss certain book storylines, just as Shadowhunters did with its own source material, “The Mortal Instruments.” Although Shadowhunters made an effort to include all the epic highs and lows of Cassandra Clare’s young adult novels, there are still some storylines that fans will never see since the series was canceled. While some of these storylines may seem small, they actually significantly expand the story, and often, lead the way to Clare’s other Shadowhunter novels.
